Android Server:

The multiplayer server is an Android-based device on which the WHD multiplayer app is preinstalled. This allows the playback of music from a USB stick, Mediaserver, Internet radio and the streaming service "Deezer" in many rooms.
In the ideal case, the multiplayer server is permanently connected to the network via a LAN cable. Optionally it can also be integrated via WLAN.
A monitor can be connected via the HDMI output. By using a mouse together with the Android Server and monitor/TV the end user can compile various playlists, which he or she can simply remotely control via the KNX or his smartphone via the family function. The playlists can only be played in different rooms at the same time - different playlists at the same time in different rooms are not possible.
This ensures a very stable network connection, regardless of the battery status of the smartphone and whether it is being used for telephoning or otherwise.
The multiplayer server is necessary in combination with the KNX multiplayer link. We also recommend it in projects where maximum connectivity is important, such as: For public areas such as restaurants, boutiques, hairdressing salons, ...
